These are the words the explorer Vasco da Gama used to describe the people living on the magnificent coast of today's province of Inhambane, where he chose to stop his sailing ships in 1498 on his way to his first exploratory voyage to India. At Boa Gente Lodge, we want to ensure our guests leave Mozambique with the same feeling as Vasco da Gama once did — a land of good people.

Boa Gente is ideally located in central Vilankulo, sheltered from the wind and offers easy access to the beach (1 minute walk). Boa Gente benefits from a cosy atmosphere: 8 bedrooms, 4 chalets and 1 self-catering cottage, surrounded by a beautiful garden, our bar and restaurant and a lovely swimming pool. The sober and elegant decoration combined with the beauty of the surroundings make this place a real haven of peace and tranquility.
